Silvery Moon crowing jewel of the night sky
Accompanied by your handmaidens the shiny stars
Coyly gliding between the clouds
Your diaphanous veil, you shy lady of the night
You gaze slyly at your admirers
Silvery Moon, my lovely lady of the night
Tell me what secrets you hide
You shed the light that is the reflection of the sun
He is an outcast when it is night
Quietly you glide behind the clouds
Lonely lovely silvery moon
Silvery beams you cast on your admirers
Lovers and astronomers clamber to see you
Yet you sly lady of the night, you stealthily glide behind the clouds
Elusive seductive lovely lady of the night
Caressing me with silvery beams of light
For me only to gaze in wonder at you silvery moon
Followed by the stars your faithful companions
